Shipping Policy

This Shipping Policy outlines the guidelines and procedures for the shipment of iron ore and related materials purchased through the Simzo Metallix online marketplace (the “Platform”). Please read this policy carefully as it governs all transactions involving the physical delivery of goods facilitated through our Platform.

Important Note: Simzo Metallix operates as a marketplace connecting buyers and sellers. We do not directly handle the shipping of materials. Shipping arrangements, costs, and timelines are primarily agreed upon directly between the buyer and the seller. This policy provides general guidelines and expectations for shipping facilitated through our Platform.

1. Shipping Arrangements Between Buyers and Sellers

  • Direct Agreement: Buyers and sellers are solely responsible for arranging the shipping of the purchased materials. This includes determining the shipping method, carrier, cost, insurance, and delivery timelines.
  • Communication is Key: We encourage buyers and sellers to communicate clearly and thoroughly regarding all shipping details before finalizing a transaction. Utilize the communication tools provided on the Platform to discuss these arrangements.
  • Listing Information: Sellers are expected to provide clear and accurate information in their listings regarding potential shipping options, preferred carriers (if any), and any relevant shipping terms. Buyers should carefully review this information before making an offer.
  • Negotiation: The shipping terms, including costs and responsibilities, are typically negotiable between the buyer and the seller. Simzo Metallix does not interfere in these negotiations.

2. Shipping Costs

  • Buyer Responsibility: Unless explicitly stated otherwise in the listing or agreed upon between the buyer and seller, the buyer is generally responsible for all shipping costs, including transportation fees, loading charges, unloading charges, and any applicable taxes or duties.
  • Transparency: Sellers should clearly indicate the estimated shipping costs or the basis for calculating shipping costs in their listings or during communication with potential buyers.
  • Payment of Shipping Fees: The method and timing of shipping fee payment should be agreed upon between the buyer and the seller. This may be included in the total transaction cost or handled separately. Simzo Metallix does not process or manage shipping payments directly.

3. Shipping Methods and Carriers

  • Buyer and Seller Choice: The choice of shipping method (e.g., road transport, rail transport, sea freight) and the carrier are to be determined and agreed upon by the buyer and the seller.
  • Seller Responsibility: The seller is responsible for properly packaging and preparing the materials for shipment in accordance with the agreed-upon shipping method and carrier requirements.
  • Buyer Responsibility: The buyer is responsible for ensuring that the delivery location is suitable for receiving the shipment and for arranging for unloading if necessary.

4. Delivery and Inspection

  • Delivery Confirmation: The buyer and seller should agree on a method for confirming delivery of the materials.
  • Inspection Upon Arrival: Buyers are advised to inspect the delivered materials thoroughly upon arrival for any damage or discrepancies against the agreed-upon specifications. Any issues should be promptly communicated to the seller and the shipping carrier, if applicable, following their respective procedures.
  • Simzo Metallix’s Role: Simzo Metallix is not responsible for any loss, damage, or delays that occur during the shipping process. Any claims related to shipping must be resolved directly between the buyer, the seller, and the shipping carrier.

5. Insurance

  • Agreement Between Parties: The responsibility for obtaining shipping insurance and the cost of such insurance should be agreed upon between the buyer and the seller.
  • Seller Disclosure: Sellers should disclose whether insurance is included in their shipping terms or if it is the buyer’s responsibility to arrange it.

6. Cross-Border Shipping

  • Compliance with Regulations: For international transactions, both the buyer and the seller are responsible for complying with all applicable import and export regulations, including customs procedures, duties, and taxes.
  • Documentation: The seller is typically responsible for providing the necessary documentation for customs clearance, as agreed upon with the buyer.

7. Dispute Resolution Related to Shipping

  • Direct Communication: We encourage buyers and sellers to first attempt to resolve any shipping-related disputes directly between themselves.
  • Simzo Metallix Assistance: If a resolution cannot be reached, Simzo Metallix may, upon request, provide limited assistance in facilitating communication between the parties. However, we are not responsible for enforcing shipping agreements or resolving financial disputes related to shipping. Users may refer to our general Dispute Resolution policy for further guidance.

8. Disclaimer

Simzo Metallix provides a platform for buyers and sellers to connect and trade iron ore and related materials. We are not a shipping provider and do not take responsibility for the shipping process, costs, timelines, or any issues that may arise during transit. All shipping arrangements are solely between the buyer and the seller.
