Important Note: Simzo Metallix operates as a marketplace connecting buyers and sellers of iron ore and related materials. We are not directly involved in the sale or the fulfillment of transactions. Therefore, the refund and returns policies are primarily established and managed directly by the individual sellers on our Platform. This policy provides general guidelines and expectations for refunds and returns facilitated through our Platform.

1. Refunds and Returns are Agreements Between Buyers and Sellers

  • Direct Arrangement: The specific terms and conditions for refunds and returns are agreed upon directly between the buyer and the seller. Simzo Metallix does not dictate the refund or return policies for individual listings or transactions.
  • Essential Communication: Buyers and sellers must communicate clearly and comprehensively regarding the refund and return terms before finalizing a transaction. Utilize the communication tools provided on the Platform for these discussions.
  • Seller Listing Responsibility: Sellers are obligated to clearly state their refund and return policy (if any) within each of their listings. This information should detail:
    • Whether refunds and/or returns are accepted.
    • The specific timeframe during which refunds and/or returns will be considered (e.g., within a stated number of days post-delivery).
    • The precise conditions under which a refund or return will be granted (e.g., verifiable material defects, significant deviations from the product description).
    • Who is responsible for covering return shipping costs.
    • The step-by-step process for initiating a refund or return request.
    • The nature of the resolution offered (e.g., full refund, partial refund, exchange of goods).
  • Buyer Due Diligence: Buyers bear the responsibility of carefully reviewing the seller’s stated refund and return policy before making an offer or completing a purchase. By proceeding with a transaction, the buyer explicitly acknowledges and agrees to the seller’s outlined terms.

2. General Recommendations for Refunds and Returns (For Buyers and Sellers)

While individual seller policies will vary, we advise considering these general principles:

  • Valid Reasons for Refund/Return: Typically, refunds or returns are considered for significant issues such as:
    • Substantial Material Defects: The delivered materials exhibit significant flaws or fail to meet the agreed-upon quality standards.
    • Major Listing Discrepancies: The delivered materials differ materially from the description provided in the listing (e.g., incorrect material type, grade, or quantity).
    • Transit Damage: The materials sustained damage during the shipping process (subject to any agreements regarding insurance and liability).
  • Reasonable Timeframe: A fair timeframe for initiating a refund or return request is usually within a few days of receiving the materials, allowing adequate time for thorough inspection.
  • Condition of Returned Goods: Unless the return is due to shipping damage or a pre-existing defect, returned materials should generally be in the same condition as they were upon delivery.
  • Evidence of Issue: Sellers may reasonably request that buyers provide evidence of the issue, such as photographs or relevant documentation, to support their refund or return claim.

3. Responsibility for Return Shipping Costs

  • Mutual Agreement: The responsibility for covering return shipping costs should be explicitly agreed upon between the buyer and the seller.
  • Common Practices:
    • When a refund or return is necessitated by the seller’s error (e.g., delivery of defective materials or a significant listing error), the seller typically assumes the cost of return shipping.

5. The Role of Simzo Metallix in Refunds and Returns

  • Facilitating Communication: Simzo Metallix provides communication tools to enable direct interaction between buyers and sellers regarding refund and return inquiries.
  • Limited Dispute Resolution Assistance: In the event that a buyer and seller cannot reach a mutual agreement regarding a refund or return, Simzo Metallix may, upon request, offer limited assistance in facilitating communication and attempting to mediate the dispute. However, Simzo Metallix is under no obligation to enforce refunds or returns.
  • No Guarantee of Refund/Return: Simzo Metallix does not guarantee that a buyer will receive a refund or be able to return goods. All such arrangements are solely at the discretion and agreement of the buyer and the seller.

6. Recommendations for Buyers

  • Thorough Policy Review: Before finalizing any purchase, carefully examine the seller’s stated refund and return policy within the listing.
  • Proactive Inquiry: If any aspect of the seller’s policy is unclear or requires further explanation, do not hesitate to ask the seller for clarification before completing the transaction.
  • Maintain Documentation: Keep comprehensive records of all communications with the seller, detailed listing information, and any evidence pertaining to the condition of the materials upon delivery.
  • Prompt Inspection: Upon receiving the materials, conduct a thorough inspection and promptly report any discrepancies or issues to the seller and the shipping carrier (if applicable).

  • Establish Clear and Fair Policies: Define your refund and return policy with clarity in your listings to minimize potential misunderstandings and disputes.
  • Maintain Open Communication: Respond promptly and professionally to all buyer inquiries concerning refunds and returns.
  • Consider Reasonable Requests: Be open to considering reasonable refund or return requests, particularly in cases involving verifiable defects or significant inaccuracies in your listings.

Simzo Metallix provides a platform to connect buyers and sellers and is not responsible for enforcing the refund and return policies established by individual sellers. All refund and return arrangements are solely between the participating buyer and seller. Users engage in transactions on the Platform at their own risk.

9. Updates to this Refund and Returns Policy

Simzo Metallix reserves the right to modify this Refund and Returns Policy at any time by posting the updated policy on the Platform. Your continued use of the Platform after the posting of any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised 1 policy. We encourage you to review this policy periodically for any updates.
